Get to Know Us

The International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering Texas A&M Student Chapter was founded in 2020 to create an organization where people interested in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology field could come together. Since then, ISPE TAMU Student Chapter has worked diligently to bring together a diverse group of students, united in our interests, aspirations, and studies. Members become part of the organization while participating in activities that help grow personally and professionally.

Our Officers

Anna Khan President

Anna is a senior biomedical engineering major from Katy, Texas. She likes to bake, hike, and listen to podcasts in her free time. After graduation, she plans to work in the pharmaceutical or medical diagnostics industry in regulatory affairs or quality engineering.

Isabella Thomas Vice President & External Affairs

Isabella is a senior pursuing a bachelor's in chemical engineering from Dallas, Texas. She completed summer internships at the BASF Freeport in manufacturing and Eli Lilly in process operations improvement. She is also currently doing research in Dr. Alge's biomaterials lab. In her free time, she enjoys playing her guitar, solving Rubik's cubes, and drawing.

Vishnu Vasudev Co-External Affairs Coordinator

Vishnu is a sophomore biomedical engineering major from Plano, Texas. He plans on pursuing a PhD after graduating and wants to go into the biotech or biopharma industries. Vishnu's hobbies include being a plant dad, baking, and cooking. He also likes to go hiking and is a total chemistry nerd.

Joanelis Rijos Arroyo Secretary

Joanelis Rijos Arroyo is a sophomore pursuing chemical engineering from Killeen, Texas. She likes to learn new recipes and dance to salsa music in her free time. She is passionate about bridging the gap in supply and demand of medicine and plans to enter the production and manufacturing aspect of the pharmaceutical industry.

Tanya Kari Treasurer

Tanya is a freshman engineering major from Maui, Hawaii hoping to study biomedical engineering. In her free time she likes to run, read mystery novels, and watch the Amazing World of Gumball. She is currently planning to go to medical school after she graduates.

Nicole Calderon Co- External Affairs Coordinator

Nicole is a freshman pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Biomedical Engineering from Katy, Texas. She was a research intern at MD Anderson Cancer Center in the department of Experimental Therapeutics. She enjoys playing soccer, cooking, drinking coffee, reading, and hiking. After graduation, she plans to work in industry in one of the many pharmaceutical engineering companies.

Jenna Borucki Co-Internal Affairs Coordinator

Jenna is a senior Chemical Engineering major and Biomedical Engineering minor from Waco, Texas. In her free time, she enjoys baking, playing piano, and crocheting. She has an interest in researching and developing drug delivery systems. After graduation, Jenna plans to pursue a Master's in Biotechnology or Biomedical Engineering.

Isabel Stowe Co - Internal Affairs Coordinator

Hi my name is Isabel Stowe I am currently a sophomore in chemical engineering. I am from Houston, Texas. I am currently doing undergraduate research in Dr. Hartl’s aerospace lab and Dr. Alge’s biomaterials lab. I enjoy cooking and trying new restaurants in my free time.

Sofia Rosas Co-Marketing Coordinator

Sofia is a sophomore pursuing a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Fort Worth Texas. After graduating, she plans to be involved in the industrial side of the pharmaceutical industry. In her free time, she enjoys trying new foods, shopping, and reading.

Ava Daly Co-Marketing Coordinator

Howdy! My name is Ava Daly and I am a freshman biochemistry major from Katy TX! I am so excited to be the marketing coordinator for the Texas A&M ISPE chapter for spring 2025. My favorite ISPE memory was taking the tour of the National Center of Therapeutics Manufacturing here on campus with our amazing ISPE officers. In the future, I hope to work as a Research and Development vaccine and/or antibiotics scientist within the pharmaceutical industry.
